cyork2 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 I've been reading the forum and in the North Las Vegas strip at 5 stars Trump will come in lowest and if you put in a low bid that gets accepted you will likely end up at Trump which has no Casino. On the South Las Vegas strip, again at 5 stars, it looks like you will most likely get The Hotel which is connected to Mandalay Bay's casino.Looking back at 4 star winners you definitely see some hotels without casinos. Is there any 4 star zone (north, south or east strip area) that you can lowball and be certain to get a hotel with a casino? Our trip isn't until next May (Billiards Tournament) - any suggestions on whether we should wait to see what hotel specials are offered vs placing bids now? Thanks,Craig
AaronJB Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Welcome to the site. There's no way to 100% guarantee a particular amenity using PRICELINE. I'd suggest instead using HOTWIRE, where you can be sure to see a casino icon.If there is something occurring during your stay - such as a tournament - I'd start looking to see what's available now and not wait until closer to your stay. If traffic ramps up for your dates, rates can suddenly jump higher or even much higher. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links.
