shopper314
I am new to bidding on priceline. After looking at the recent wins for the areas I have been bidding on, some of those bids were lower than mine - same zone, same dates. Why? This is frustrating. Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks. AaronJB
Welcome to the site. It's tough to know without knowing where you are bidding on or when, but I'm guessing that inventory may have changed. Additionally, if the dates are not *exactly* the same - if your dates overlap with only some of the other bids in question - that may be an issue, as well. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase. Gallus50
Also prices are date specific, and depend on supply vs demand. It could be that you're bidding on a busier week or weekend, or that there is some other reason hotels are more booked. It helps to check the FAQs here so you understand the ins and outs a bit. Also check rack rates and see if they are higher than usual. Being an informed bidder lowers frustration levels, and gets you better deals as well. Link to comment
