AaronJB Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 This could be a possible match for the Doubletree Met, Roosevelt or Tudor. (although I'd guess the latter two are the most likely)Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.

Iris_1982 Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 I found a hotel deal in hotwireIt's a 3* hotel in downtown-sohoAmenities include:-restaurant- business center- high speed internet accessOur travel dates are April 27 till May 2ndAny idea which hotel this might be?And also: is it any good to stay downtown?I can imagine it can be pretty quiet at night when the financial district is closed. On the other hand: soho is a fun district.
yellowdog Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Please keep all posts in the same thread since posts are for the same dates. Is the downtown-soho zone firm for your stay now? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog.
Iris_1982 Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 Oh I am sorry, I forgot about the other topic since it was already gone from the first page here :)Well we're not sure we want to stay in that area, because it might be a little quiet and also far away from midtownOn the other hand: if the hotel is good and the deal is great, Downtown will be good for us.I kind of found out that Hotel Reserve might be an option?
thereuare Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 This property has not yet been reported to the board or identified, and with just these three non-descript amenities, it could be just about anything in the zone.Staying Downtown will be quiet in the evening and at nite, and it's a trade-off of price vs. convenience. What is your expected budget for this stay? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Iris_1982 Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 We were kind of hoping to find a 3,5 of 4 * hotel in midtown or times square area for about 120 to 125 dollars per night.I have been trying priceline for 1,5 month now but even with bids of 138 dollars they won't accept my offer (while at hotwire they offer rooms for 142 dollar, so I figured Priceline should be cheaper than that but even if they are it will only be a dollar or 2 then). Now I saw this deal and figured it's certainly cheap! The only thing is that I wanted to be a little sure about which hotel it might be, but if no one here has a clue it's kind of a tough decision.Usually, 3* hotwire hotels are a good deal right? If we book this property I'll let you know which hotel it was in the end. If not: we'll keep searching and hoping something better will come up
AaronJB Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 The Tudor in MTE is $158.95 non-refundable on Orbitz.com for these dates, and coupon codes WELCOME10 or FABSAVE10 take 10% off = $143.06. Another Midtown option to consider. Please use the site's Orbitz.com link if this is of interest.
