smallfox Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 By reading this postPriceline Kansas CityI know the price should be ~$40.I tried at $35, got rejected. surprisingly, this time priceline shows a different screen: "we ususally ask you to change the area or date before you can bid for another time, but due to the star level, area, and the price you are bidding, we offer this one-time oppotunity: if you are willing to increase your price by $9, we will allow you to bid again without changing any of the other options."Since I am short of 1 stay in Hilton for something and don't want to wait another day, I decided to take this offer. Interestingly, in the new price box, if I put in any number <44, it will highlight the above sentence in red and ask me to put in the price again. So I offered $44, and got accepted. 44+$15.32=$59.32is this a new way PRICELINE want to make a bit more profit out of customers? Hilton Kansas City Airport 3
