Priceline Hotel: 5* Las Vegas Strip

Hello,

I am looking on the priceline website for 5* Las Vegas strip -- and the only hotels that are showing up are: Venetian, Bellagio, Thehotel (mandalay), Palazzo and Wynn. Does that mean if I try to name my own price, those will be what I am choosing from? I heard some people mention the Trump as a possibility.

Also - going Jan 8-11 2010. Any recommendations on price?

The "retail" and "bidding" versions of PRICELINE each use a different universe of hotels, so what you're seeing on the retail side is not the only possible outcomes. See the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ for more info.

If you're looking to avoid the Trump HOTWIRE may be a safer option. (since the Trump doesn't have a casino, purchasing a hotel with a Casino icon ensures you won't receive the Trump)

Well since the prices are near 190 on HOTWIRE, I guess just trying to lowball on PRICELINE would be a better place to start.

So far no luck:

Only have 5* Checked:

75 North only

85 North + Boulder

95 North + Freemont

100 North + Boulder + Freemont

110 North + LAS

125 North + LAS + Boulder

135 North + LAS + Convention

140 North + LAS + Convention + Boulder

They came back saying, "buy it now" basically with $175. Given that as another data point, in your experience where should I go next. Looks 195 is the number on Hotwire.

I was thinking Venetian:

Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services.

The property has not yet been reported to the board. My first guess would be the Palazzo, but i only slightly favor that over the other possibilities, which i guess would be the Encore, Venetian, and Palazzo.
