Priceline Hotel: 4* Chicago (NMA-River North)

I know that 11/21-11/22 is the Festival of Lights. I have been (unsuccessfully) bidding for 4* in NMA-River North from $75-$95 using rebids. I want to stay in that zone and star level for sure. What is the thought on catching inventory with that range?

I did just get a good deal on a backup that can be canceled (Monaco at $154 including tax/charges and free parking, and yes it's not NMA but pretty darn close) so I am free to be patient.

I'm actually a little surprised that you have not gotten accepted for a 4* at $95, as HOTWIRE is showing a 4* in the Mag Mile-Streeterville area for $92 and a 4* in the NMA-WT-Gold Coast area for $99. Either of those would be a fine option for your plans.

The 4* Mag Mile/Streeterville (fitness, restaurant, business, internet) for $92 could be the Hard Rock, Hyatt, Sheraton or Westin. All of those hotels are right by the river, which would make for a fine option to be near the Festival. Hotels a couple of years ago during these dates were extremely expensive, but they aren't bad at all this year (as Chicago goes.)
