I've booked via HOTWIRE 2 nights at the Embassy Suites New York for 229 $/night, between 10/31 and 11/2.

The amenities were as follows:

Suite - Complimentary Breakfast - Fitness Center - Restaurant(s) - Business Center - Laundry Facilities - High-speed Internet Access

Area : Downtown Soho

I was really happy with that price as the hotels are quite fully booked and/or extremely expensive with the NY Marathon.
