koya Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 Hi,I'd like to go to Paris from 12/10 to 12/14 in a 3 to 4* room, and I would welcome any advise on which zones are best. I'm going there entirely for leisure, so it would be important to be close the major sights and attractions. Thanks in advance for helping me!Cheers, koya

koya Posted October 24, 2009 Author Report Posted October 24, 2009 What is your expected budget per nite?Max bid would be $120
thereuare Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 The (Champs Elysees-Opera Quarter West) and (St Germain-Latin Quarter-Montparnasse) zones are the most popular, but as Paris is a fairly spread out city, you should locate many of the things you want to see/do on a map and compare this to the PRICELINE zones to see if these would work well for your needs. Besides proximity to the sites you want to see, also look at the train lines that run thru the zone and see if they offer a direct trip (no tranfer) to the sights you're interested in.Let us know if these zones, or any others, work well for your needs and we'll advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. koya Posted October 28, 2009 Author Report Posted October 28, 2009 Thanks for your advice. I think St Germain-Latin Quarter-Montparnasse, Champs Elysees-Opera Quarter West or Opera Quarter East-Les Halles would be best. What are the free bid zones at 4* level?Best, koya
thereuare Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 There are no re-bid zones available at the 4* level.Did you want to try up to $120 for a 4* and then, if rejected, try for a 3* OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay? (personally in Europe i recommend trying to stick with the higher rated hotels, but you know your budget and expectations better than we do)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
