We are looking at two rooms in Chicago for 12/27/09-12/29/09. There is a 4 star in NMA/WT/Gold Coast for $83 a night and a 4 start Mag Mile/Streeterville For $82. The amenities are the same at each and include: Fitness Center; Restaurant; Business Center and Internet. Can you advise what hotels these might be?

Also wondering about a 3 1/2 star at $72 in NMA?WT?Gold Coast area that includes these amenities: Boutique; Fitness center; Restaurant; Business Center; Internet; Golf; Tennis and spa.

Any thoughts about best areas?

Thanks

Welcome to BetterBidding!

The amenities for the 4* are quite common for a large city hotel (as evidenced by both hotels having the same amenities) and each matches multiple properties.

The 4* Mag Mile properties matches the Swissotel, Westin River North, Hard Rock, Hyatt and Sheraton so any of these would be my best guess.

Similarly the 4* in the NMA zone matches previous reports for the Allerton, Drake, Millenium Knickerbocker, and Westin, so any of these would be my best guess for this one.

The 3.5* NMA hotel matches the Hotel Indigo so that would be my best guess here.

What is your best guess for possible 4* hotel listing in Chicago Loop 12/27/09-12/29/09? Amenities are: Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center and Internet. Price is $79 based on 4 people, 2 rooms.

Thanks

Please do not start a new thread for this stay. The 4* Loop has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but my guess would either be the Palmer House (not showing the usual pool) or a slightly different amenity set for the W City Center.

Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links, and let us know what you decide and if you have further questions.

Just booked the 4* chicago Loop for 12/27/-12/29/09 for $79 a night for 4 people 2 rooms and it is the Palmer House Hilton! So thank you for your help.

How possible is it when checking in to get a nonsmoking room with a queen or king bed?

Congratulations on your success!

Thank you for sharing your results with the board. Bedding is not guaranteed, and the Palmer is a massive historic property, and room sizes (and therefore bedding options) vary significantly (although I would have to imagine kings are a rarity here.) Non-smoking will probably not be a problem, but they may or may not be willing to work with you on bedding. Best advice would be to call and politely ask and if they say yes, they will note it as a "request".

Thank you for letting us know about this new amenity set for this property.
