My wife made a bid yesterday.

Started in Entertainment District - added others except for Downtown west, and YVR airport

For 10/23/09 to 10/24/09 - 1 night

Bid 85$ - Failed

Rebid $90 - Failed

Rebid $100 - received counter-offer of $122 - declined

Rebid $105 - Won the Opus Hotel on Davie Street in Yaletown.

with taxes etc around $130 ... (my wife has the details)

This may be a new hotel for Priceline (haven't seen any wins posted here for it at least) - rooms for that date online start at $269 and run up to $799. - So around 60% off posted rates!

This hotel is right next to the new Canada Line - Roundhouse skytrain stop only a couple of minutes walk from BC Place and the inner harbour, but just a bit out of the way otherwise (ie. around 6 or 7 blocks walk to the downtown core, but ... only "32 steps" from the entrance to the underground skytrain station.... from there the downtown core is only one skytrain station away and only two stops to Waterfront station by Canada Place cruise port)
