staubinst Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 We are planning a trip for 12/5, we are only staying 1 night and would like to stay downtown. I would love a 4* but would go to a 3.5* if the price is right. I have been trying for a few days and have had no luck. I have bid from $65 to $75. I would also be willing to go to Millinieum Park/south mich ave area. Any tips would be great. I should note that we are attending something at the Untited Center on 12/6 so any tips for that area would also be great. Thanks so much.
thereuare Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! What is your maximum bid for this stay? Am i correct that you have not yet bid the Loop zone? What is preferable, a 4* in the Loop or a 3.5* in the NMA zone? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. staubinst Posted October 20, 2009 Author Report Posted October 20, 2009 I would like my max bid to be $75 if I could get it for a 4*. I would prefer to stay in the NMA area. I have tried bidding in the loop area and mag mile area. Thanks for helping me out.
thereuare Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 So you have already bid up to your limit in both the NMA and Loop zones? Have you bid this amount at both the 3.5* and 4* levels? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. thereuare Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 I'm not following, please clarify:Which zone(s) have you bid at the 4* level, and if more than one, how high have you bid for each zone?Which zone(s) have you bid at the 3.5* level, and if more than one, how high have you bid for each zone? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. thereuare Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 At the 4* level you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)Select 4* NMA...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* Loop...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* NMA...Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $55, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* Loop...Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $55, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* NMA and Loop...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $65, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* NMA and Loop and re-bid zone2...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $75Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. staubinst Posted October 21, 2009 Author Report Posted October 21, 2009 Thanks so much. No luck today on any of my bids. Do you think that I will be able to get something with these bids? How man days of bidding will it take? I suppose it is up to the hotels. Thanks again
thereuare Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 You'll need a hotel to lower their minimum threshold for this nite, for at the moment, nobody in the NMA or Loop zones are willing to accept $75.I don't think you're too far off.. another $10-$15 may be enough for a 4* hotel, but at the moment, $75 isn't sufficient.Keep us updated or let us know if you're willing to increase your maximum bid. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
