baijingma Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 Hi, tonight was my 4th or 5th try to get a 4* hotel near Liberty Park -- hoping for Hyatt but was seeing that all the winning bids lately were for the Westin -- some around $100, $105, one even for $85.With my travel date coming up in two days, I placed a bid for $105, expecting rejection and a reminder that I would need to wait 24 hours to re-bid. Instead, what I got was this offer: (gist) "If you are willing to increase your bid by $22, you may resubmit your bid immediately -- this is a one-time only opportunity."I took a chance that this might mean the Hyatt could be had, and got lucky. This was a bit more than I wanted to spend but it sounds like the location will make it worth the price.I did use bb's link to PRICELINE when I bid.Wondering if others have seen and responded to this kind of "re-bid immediately" offer and what results were obtained?
