Used Betterbidding's PRICELINE link.

Initial bid of $120 in Downtown-Gaslamp was rejected.

PRICELINE said I could bid again without changing anything if I bid $142, so I did.

Got the Sheraton San Diego Hotel And Marina. Expedia shows this going for $194. Meh, I was hoping for a better deal and location.

This win is a decent deal vs. a conventionally booked room at this property on this nite, so i'm guessing your disappiontment may lie more with the location of the hotel than the price. If so, note that HOTWIRE may be a better option in the future if you're looking to stay in the Downtown Gaslamp Quarter area as they divide the zone differently... using a separate Gaslamp Quarter zone instead of including it in the "Downtown-Harbor Island" zone.
