Priceline Hotel: 4-5* On the strip 2/10-2/16

I am looking to stay in either the Mirage, ti, or any of the five stars on the strip excluding the trump for as close to $100 as possible. I was wondering about the chance of receiving a "complimentary upgrade" to the trump if I bid on a 4* north strip. And would I be better off trying to bid now or wait longer.

You can't bid on specific hotels, and if you do choose to bid for a 4* in the North Strip zone (where TI and Mirage are located) you are subject to being upgraded to a 5* hotel (which could be the Trump)

In light of the above, I don't think you can safely use PRICELINE for this stay. HOTWIRE may be an option as you can easily avoid the Trump (choose a hotel showing the Casino icon) and possibly identify a 4* hotel offered in this zone. However, searching HOTWIRE for your dates the offerings in this zone are over your $100-area budget, whih may not be realistic given this stay covers a weekend as well as Valentine's Day (busy time in Vegas for marriages and restating your vowes)

I changed the dates to 2/14-2/20 and searched HOTWIRE. There is a 5* going for 166 a night and the amenities are Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services. To me it appears to be the Venetian, however, I would like a second opinion.
