cmburgess Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Hi, I've used your help before (and your PRICELINE / HOTWIRE links!) and really appreciated your bidding strategy! I'm looking for a hotel in San Francisco for 3 nights either 10/23 - 10/26 or 10/24 - 10/27. In an effort to save as much money as possible, I will be using travel points for the fourth night hotel stay (either Fri. 10/23 or Mon. 10/26) depending on what I can do on Priceline for the other nights, so I am flexible on which part of the trip we use priceline for. It will be my husband's first trip to CA and we would really like to stay in the center of it all if possible and not out at the airport (preferably the SOMA area, but open to USW, USE) and really enjoy historic areas if any of the other areas are fitting. I wouldn't mind staying in Civic Center or Fisherman's Wharf areas, but see that they don't have 4*. I would like to spend as close to $100 per night as possible if in the downtown area, but I am afraid of adding more zones to include the airport and end up paying $150 for a hotel away from it all, when you could just purchase a stay outright in the airport area for $100. I would love any and all bidding suggestions that you can offer! Sorry for so much information, I just wanted you to know it all! hahaTHANK YOU!!Carolyn

thereuare Posted October 20, 2009 Report Posted October 20, 2009 I wasn't really suggesting that you book direct, but more so to get a feel how high demand is for these dates so you can adjust your maximum bid accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
