Priceline Hotel: 3.5* DC (White House-Downtown) Doubletree Washington

After trying for about a week to land a 4* in the White House area, I finally started expanding to Conv Ctr-Cap Hill and going down to a 3.5*. Thought I'd get a better rate based on the other mid-week wins I'd seen. Got a great priceline deal for a Sat-Tues stay at a 4* in White House for $91 (won last week); is it possible that since I'd gotten a good deal then, that I was being pushed away from an equally good deal?

Is this the Doubletree at 1515 Rhode Island Avenue, NW? If so, i believe this property is located in the (White House-Downtown) zone and have edited your topic title accordingly... can you please add a reply to this thread confirming the zone on your winning bid confirmation page, which you can find under the hotel name and above the address.

Your two bids are independent of each other, and the deal you received on this purchase has nothing to do with the previous deal you received. DC is an event driven market, meaning that government meetings, conferences, rallys, protests, conventions, etc, strongly effect hotel rates. More like this deal costs the same for a slightly lower rated hotel as occupancy (and there rates) for these dates are higher than your previous stay.
