moneypit Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 Just for general information for the board, on Oct 9th, (before I discovered this site) a bid of $65 was accepted for Doubletree Hotel, San Francisco Airport for one night. Unfortunately I did not use your Priceline for that bid but will be sure to do so for all future bids.
moneypit Posted October 14, 2009 Author Report Posted October 14, 2009 I was not totally clear on my earlier post. The bid for Doubletree was made on Oct 9 for a one night stay on Dec. 2, 2009. My first bid was at $60 for a four star. That was rejected. I waited 24 hours and rebid at $65 for a four star. That was rejected. I had not found this site at that point and did not know how to successfully rebid by choosing a zone which did not have a 4 star. What I did though was to rebid at a 3.5 (I think) at $65.00 and that was accepted for Doubltree. Unfortunately I was still in learning mode and had not discovered this most helpful site and as a result did not bid through this site. Still, I am happy with what I received. In the future I will bid through the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on this site. I understand that by starting this new topic the information about my bid will be added to the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins. The calendar is a very useful tool.
