Priceline Hotel: 4* Dallas (Downtown) Westin City Center

Wanted this hotel but figured I would get the Hyatt Regency - I don't like the Hyatt because it's so huge and parking is such a bear there. Anyway, lucked out and got the Westin. Also, as always used the PRICELINE links at top right to start my bids.

First chose 4* downtown and bid $48

then added rebid zone and bid $51

then added rebid zone and bid $53

then added rebid zone and bid $55

then added rebid zone and bid $57

then added rebid zone and bid $59

then added rebid zone and bid $61

then added rebid zone and bid $63

then added rebid zone and bid $65 - got the Westin.

Wow, good thing there are lots of rebid zones in Dallas.

Also, watch out because two of my re-bid zones acted funny and so I didn't use them. They were Plano and DFW South. In both cases, when I checked the box, the "average price for a 4* hotel in this area" dropped - which meant to me that there was a 4* hotel in these other areas, and there hadn't been when I last checked the zones. Of course I didn't really want these other areas and so I didn't add those zones when re-bidding. So watch out for that or you may end up on teh wrong side of town!
