jessaj Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 I am reading thru some wins, and seeing people getting hotels for less than 1/2 of the asking price. I'm wondering if there is a way or trick to choose what hotel you will get or at least narrow it down? I just saw someone get the Mariott Marquis in downtown San Francisco for $105, the asking price is $289. Why would priceline not give a cheeper hotel in that area for $105?
thereuare Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 No, you can't bid on a specific hotel... the deep discounts are in exchange for being flexible in regards to which hotel you will receive and the discounted rated is designated for 'opaque' bookings only. See this I've Never Used Priceline or Hotwire thread for the similiarities and differences between each service. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
