Priceline Hotel: question about extending trip

I posted a couple weeks ago about bidding on a hotel in NYC for this current weekend. Well we are here, staying at the Westin (my winning bid was for this 4* for 5 nights at $280 a night) It's gorgeous here and we do like it a lot. Our trip is going well!

We are now thinking about extending our trip by a day or two (at most) We're supposed to check out on Wed but might stay Thursday and possibly Friday. I know when I got my winning bid, it gave me the option of extending my stay by 1 day but here are my questions...

Is it possible or likely that I could get a better deal if I tried bidding again as a new stay for a 4* times square. I know there is a chance I won't get this hotel again but I guess I'm hoping to get my extra night or two at a cheaper rate than $280. As it was, I went over my budget when bidding initially and I got the impression that that happened because it was a long weekend and so close to date. I'm wondering if it's any different during the week?

So my options could be to extend by 1 day (which I think is the only thing possible, not by 2 days) at the rate $280 but we stay here at the Westin ....except we then possibly have to get another hotel for a night if we stay an extra 2nd day...

OR

I start fresh and bid again for 4* in TS for the 1 or 2 extra days and hope that I get this one and if I don't, just hope I get one for a really good rate?

Any advice on how I should handle it? And if I bid for 4* TS for Wed Oct 14 and Thurs. Oct 15, where would you start the bidding (I remember how to use the free re-bid zones) What rate do you think I could get?

The Westin is sold-out for the two nites you're seeking so chances of successfully extending your stay at this porperty are fairly low.

If you bid another zone, is the Times Square zone the only one you're willing to accept? (rates are still pretty high for these two nites)
