swai02 Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 I was looking for a hotel in Capitol Hill from 10/17-10/19; pretty late notice, only a week away. I snagged the the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill for $135/night. Over the past three days I bid for a 4 star starting at $60 and went up to $140 to no avail (using the zone-of-lesser-rating method). I had also tried for a 3.5 star during those three days, finally upping my bid to $135 (taxes and fees for two nights were $48.18). Definitely not as great of a deal as I had hoped for but still worth it.

While perhaps more than you were hoping for, this is a significant discount vs. a conventionally booked room at this property for these nites.
