mcalgy Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 I'm looking at a 4* for 22-24 Nov. I think this one is the Sheraton:Smoke Free RoomsFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)High-speed Internet AccessI also wanted a room with 2 beds, is there anyway of requesting this and it being guaranteed? Or is it more luck of the draw?
thereuare Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 If you want separate beds you should do your HOTWIRE search for triple occupancy (2adults/1 child or 3adults/0children) as this ensures separate sleeping accomodations for each person you included in your search. Since your search was for three people, it would mean more than one bed, HOWEVER, the 'second bed' could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway brought into the room, etc. Would this work for your needs? If you search HOTWIRE for triple occupancy does the same hotel appear as above? (and if so please let us know the number of adults/chidlren you're searching for... we'll then replicate your search and have a look)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. mcalgy Posted October 12, 2009 Author Report Posted October 12, 2009 I searched for 3 people and it came up with the same details, and the same price $89 for the dates, 22-24 Nov.We'd prefer 2 proper beds, so thinking getting it where this can be guaranteed would be best. Smoke Free RoomsFitness CenterPoolsRestaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessThe TA rating is 3/5, but Sheraton is currently 3.5/5 on TA, maybe they don't update these often? As far as I can tell everyone who has brought with these features has gotten the Sheraton, the Hilton includes Golf I believe.
thereuare Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 The Sheraton would be my best guess too, but as you point out, there is an inconsistency with the TA info that HOTWIRE shows and the current TA rating. HOTWIRE's information is not updated in 'real time' (updated on average once a month, but i've seen shorter/longer periods) and as the most recent reviews at Tripadvisor have been favorable, it's possible that the rating has improved since HOTWIRE's last update.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
