First post here and first try at PRICELINE.

I tried for the last few nights to get a hotel in Ottawa for Oct. 23-25.

First bid: 4* @ $40/night - rejected

Second bid: 3.5* @ 40/night - rejected

Third bid: 4* @ 50/night - rejected

Fourth bid: 3.5* @ 50/night - rejected

Fifth bid: 4* @ 60/night - rejected

Sixth bid: 3.5* @ 60/night - rejected

Seventh bid: 4* @ 70/night - rejected

Eighth bid: 3.5* @ 70/night - Accepted at Crown Plaza hotel

The cheapest rate at Expedia shows $121 USD... so I saved a decent chunk of change (42%).

I'm pretty happy with how my first purchase ended up!
