Hi, I'm a new member and my first post on this forum. I've been searching aorund the site for an hour or so and loving the tips and tricks so far! A good friend passed on your site name and raved about using it, so now my turn! I plan on going to San Fran in November from 11/6 through 11/8, flexible even for following weekend. I'm trying to get a 4* hotel in the following areas:

Financial District, SOMA, USE, USW

Can anyone offer some insight into my first purchase. Also curious about what a split bid is?

Cheers

Welcome to BetterBidding!

We wouldn't want to suggest a strategy that went higher than you were willing to pay, what is your maximum bid for this stay?

Split bid is breaking your stay into multiple shorter stays which can often be beneficial if there is a major rate change over the course of your stay. This is covered more indepth in the SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID thread, but feel free to ask any questions that you still have after reading this previous link.

Let us know your maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

i am also traveling near the same dates, 11/8-11/10. i'd like to stay in the same areas you mentioned, and this is my first time as well. i want a 4star, & would be willing to pay up to $150/night.

how do i know where to start my bid?
