Hotwire Hotel: Any ideas? Times Square 4 stars (10/30-11/1)

Any ideas on the hotel or why it is so much cheaper than the rest during NYC marathon weekend? Amentities listed: boutique; fitness center; restaurant; internet. For only 235/night

This is a match for the Hotel Mela so that would be my best guess.

This property isn't that far out of line with a few other lower priced properties that i would think anything of it. It is considered to be a 3.5* hotel by some other sites, but the reviews are pretty good and i wouldn't let a low price detract you from purchasing this... afterall, isn't that what you're after :)

Prices do vary, but there's no guarantee that rates will come down. Additionally, if demand continues, deals could be taken down. Given that this is during the Marathon, I'm surprised there is anything reasonable.

The rate went up to about $250... still a pretty good deal for these dates; note all the other 3.5* and higher midtown hotels on HOTWIRE are priced at $300+.
