I've been bidding the past 2 weeks starting from $80 all the way up to $100 with no luck. I see from this forum that Priceline has been accepting bids of $85 for the Conrad but for other weekends. Is there something going on 11/28-12/1 that is making that weekend more expensive? I've also been using the PRICELINE link from this forum.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

I looked at rates for your dates and there not much higher than rates for dates where others have one for amounts that you have already bid... but i did notice that you have two nites where hotel direct rates are 300SGD and one nite at 250SGD, whereas most wins at $85 or less only have one (or none) nite at 300SGD... so this slight difference could being your average nightly rate just above the threashold you've been bidding.

I wouldn't panic just yet and continue to bid a few more weeks (always a good idea to book a fully refundable back-up) and perhas try adding just a few more dollars (say $105) to your bidding. Another option is if you're willing to SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID (and potentially have to change hotels during your stay) is to bid the first two nites to see if you can get accepted with only one of the 300SGD nites included (vs. the 2 nites at 300SGD for your complete stay)

Another issue is currency fluctation (if the dollar has gotten weaker since the previously accepted bids) but this would likely only be a real factor if you had only bid up to the amount of the previously rejected bids... but you've bid high enough that this isn't likely a factor in this situation.

Keep us udpated and let us know if we can be of further help.

In checking again there are rates cheaper than i quoted above (i had only looked at the first listings) but it's fairly consistent that the first nite is least expensive... the last 2 nites are more expensive. Not sure if you're considering only bidding the first nite by itself, but i would at least consider trying the first two nites together before i considered bidding the first nite by itself (and in a situation such as this i usually dont' recommend bidding a solo one nite stay until you have figured out what you will be doing for the last two (more expensive) nites)

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Been trying the past two weeks for 11/28-12/1 for 3 nights. I started bidding from $80 up to $100 with no luck. Took advice to split up the nights and tried the first two nights at $80 and was accepted right away. Still need to try for that last night.

I of course used the PRICELINE link provided on this forum. Will be trying for that last night. Wish me luck!
