abbylou Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 I understand that the marathon is on Nov 1st. I've been bidding like crazy trying to get something in Manhattan for the 31st of October. I started with high expectations (3.5*) and am now down to 2* and have included all of Manhattan and bidded up to $175. Would I be better off paying more money now to secure a room or waiting til last minute to try to get something a little cheaper?

abbylou Posted October 12, 2009 Author Report Posted October 12, 2009 I'm going into the city for a concert on the 31st. I have no interest in the marathon and didn't realize it was that weekend when I planned the trip. Since prices are so high I've decided to just take the 12:30am bus home (I live 2.5 hours from the city) to save some money and plan a weekend trip another time. Thanks for your help.
