already packed Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 I just booked a 4 * - and some can gloat - becuase I paid $60 for New Orleans Hilton riverside . I had been using "French Quarter" for bids starting ar $55 - and then remembered to add Convention cntr/downtown. I had 4 *'s chosen - anyway - it came back accepted. I'm not upset - I might could have sayed enough for a Hand Garnande at tropical Isle, but considering what actual price the rooms go for ( we have stayed in this property before) - I am very happy.Tip: Parking is about $25-30 dollars a night but you can park free at Harrah's a block or so away (gamble just a little - and park free for the night. Or do as we do and stay and play and WIN!) 2) Catch the red line right outside the entry to hotel and ride to the Quarter - much more fun. $1.25 exact cash, & only, 3) the check in desk is on 2nd floor - escalator or elevator ride when you enter te main door and ride up....I used the link here to book PRICELINE.
