I Was shooting for the 3.5 Ok City Area. I started with $40 and rejected.

I then added the following regions and raised my offer keeping the star rating at 3.5

so that I would not be accepted in the new region.

crossroads $45 REJECTED

edmond $50 REJECTED

frontier $55 REJECTED

quail $60 REJECTED

will $65 ACCEPTED IN MY REGION AT THE 3.5 SHERATON 1 BLOCK FROM MY BUSINESS MEETING.

I did all this in about 20 minutes.

Accepted $65 For 3 Nights Total

Sheraton OK City

$232.17 With TaX

I also used PRICELINE for my airfare. Lowest published price was $375 and I was accepted for $185 Plus Tax

I might not have been totally clear. The regions that I kept adding did NOT have a 3.5 star rating hotel. So, I was confident my bid for a 3.5 hotel would only be accepted in my requested region. By adding the new region with each new higher bid this allowed me to circumvent the 24 hour wait between bids. A trick I learned on this site just minutes before bidding! I am looking forward to reading and learning more from other posts. As the moderator requests, please share your information so we all can learn from your experiences. I checked the calendar before I budded and sure enough, even though I started at $40, I ended up getting for $65, which is what a previous bidder received! Also, link to your PRICELINE or HOTWIRE account from this site to keep it up and running fir us all. My dates for the hotel was 10-7,8 & 9 2009
