BidAddict Posted November 14, 2009 Author Report Posted November 14, 2009 I meant to add that we stayed at the Tuscany Tower twice in the same October weekend (Friday & Sunday nights), both reservations via hotwire for $83 & $69 per night, respectively, not including taxes/fees. Yes, you were right, the "lower" outdoor pools were, in fact, open (why doesn't hotwire include the pool icon in its amenities?) and the water was comfortably warm for our autumn stays. We really enjoyed staying at the Peppermill Tuscany Tower and would highly recommend it. My only [minor] beefs: I'm not used to being in public smoking areas (i.e. casinos or hotel lobbies), it's a labyrinth to get to the Tuscany Tower, the minibar was useless as a fridge for our kids' milk since it's wired to charge you if anything from the minibar is MOVED, you HAVE to check in and check out at the front desk (vs. automated kiosks) since we booked via hotwire, and the room is not really a "suite" per se (it's a large'ish room with a master-suite-type bathroom. But they only charged us the resort fee on the first reservation, not the second. Biscotti's for dinner was fine -- although they're not supposed to do take-out, our waiter kindly took our order, brought it very quickly, and gave us take-out containers right away so that we could pack it up, pay and eat in our room. Not the best food, but edible. When I called ahead of time to request non-smoking rooms, the guy was friendly and efficient and even asked me whether I preferred a view of the mountains (outside) or the pool (inside). Thanks!
