Just managed a successful bidding for $130 @ Renaissance Washington Hotel from 22 to 27 Oct 09.

Was motivated by the successful bidding at the same price by another fellow forum user :)

Did not have much luck all the way till $110 for the longest time, even while including more and more areas like Dupont and White House areas.

$130 is decent in my opinion, though I have to say I did manage another successful bidding on 14th Oct at the same hotel at $80.

But I guess that is not reasonable expectation for a longer stay.

Anyhow, apparently I will be staying at the same DC hotel in Oct, courtesy of priceline.

And yupz, I used the PRICELINE link :)

Congratulations on your success!

It's not the length of stay so much as it is rates for the dates of your stay... but with a longer stay there is a great chance that at least one of your dates will have higher than usual demand (and therefore higher than usual prices), which is why longer stays can often be more difficult.

Glad to see the information on the board was helpful with your bidding and that you're happy with the results.

Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.

Enjoy your stay.
