This is my first time bidding on PRICELINE and writing here. Thanks for the very useful tips.

I have been trying bidding for dates Oct. 9th-12th since over a week for hotels in Manhattan but had no luck. Tried up to $220 for 3*, 3.5*, 4*.

I am aware this is a holiday weekend (Columbus + Canadian Thanksgiving) so I decided to break down my stay and got Grand Hyatt 4* at $140 the night. 10/11/09 - 10/12/09

Location is great however the hotel doesn't seem as modern as others such as the W hotels.

Still I am very happy and can't complain :)

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Be glad you go this property as it's better than the W hotel in the MTE zone (W New York) which has small rooms and gets mediocre reviews. I would stay there for the right price, but imo the Grand Hyatt is a nice property with a great location right on top of Grand Central for easy access around the city.
