tammy000 Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 2 of us will stay for 4 nights (oct. 5- 9) to tour Manhattan. We plan to pay for around $100 (before tax) per night per room. Would Brooklyn the only possibility if we don't want to share rooms with strangers? Is Brooklyn a bad idea? Are 2* and 2.5* hotels clean and safe? Or I should choose 3* and above? How much shall I expect to spend at least for a private room in Manhattan?I have tried brooklyn 3* up to $90 and no luck. Chelsea Area 3* up to $100 no luck (hotwire is $166)Thanks a lot.
