I appreciate it
AaronJB Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)The 4* MTC has a number of possibilities, including the Flatotel, the Sofitel, the Warwick, the Royalton, Helmsley Park Lane and Sheraton. All have been reported with this amenity set.The 4* MTE is either the Grand Hyatt or Intercontinental Barclay. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase. In terms of the MTE property, Morgans Hotel is $289 on sale via Orbitz (20% off), which can be combined w/another 10% off via the FABSAVE10 coupon. That would be $255 and change. This would be in the Empire State Building zone, but if that's acceptable, at least this would also offer breakfast for a couple of bucks less. Please use the site's HOTWIRE, PRICELINE or Orbitz.com links.
dkc Posted September 30, 2009 Author Report Posted September 30, 2009 I already received some information about hotwire for these dates. Any advice on using PRICELINE?
AaronJB Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 Please keep all posts regarding this stay in this thread. What would be your budget per night for hotel, and which zones/star ratings are you interested in bidding for? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
dkc Posted September 30, 2009 Author Report Posted September 30, 2009 Right now we are looking at MTE or MTC and looking at 4 stars hopefully lower than $300.
thereuare Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 #1 MTC 4 stars for 239#2 MTE 4 stars for $259Right now we are looking at MTE or MTC and looking at 4 stars hopefully lower than $300.With the HOTWIRE hotels above at $239 and $259... why set your PRICELINE limit at $300? Are the HOTWIRE properties not acceptable... as it seems that this would be your price to beat, not $300??Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. dkc Posted October 1, 2009 Author Report Posted October 1, 2009 Oh no, these hotels are more than acceptable through HOTWIRE, especially the 4 star hotels, I would be happy with either of them. I was just wondering if we can get any better deals through PRICELINE. I am new to this and haven't done PRICELINE before. I agree that the HOTWIRE prices are the price to beat.
thereuare Posted October 1, 2009 Report Posted October 1, 2009 Right now we are looking at MTE or MTC and looking at 4 stars hopefully lower than $300.Also, on PRICELINE there is no "Midtown Central" zone... can you confirm which zones, by PRICELINE name, you're willing to accept? As a reference, but you should doublecheck to make sure that each will work well for your own needs, the most frequently bid 'midtown' zones are: MTE, MTW, TS, and CPS.Let us know which zone(s) you're willing to accept and we'll advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
