Hi,

This is my first post and I am not exactly sure I'm posting correctly so my apologies if I'm not. I am looking for a London Hotel for myself and my daughter on the nights of 11/27 and 11/28. We will be arriving on a day flight from Boston arriving in London at 8:40. We have just one day to explore (the 28th) and then we fly to Zurich on the 29th. It has been recommended that I try the Bloomsbury area as it is on the Picadilly line and would be most convenient for travel to/from Heathrow but I am wondering what others think. I'm not as concerned about getting around once we are in London as I understand the tube is quite efficient. I would like to spend as little as possible (since we'll just be sleeping there) but that said I would like a safe, comfortable hotel in particular for my daughter. Since we are arriving so late London time, it would be great to have restaurants nearby. I see that others have won bids around $85 for 4*. This would be great. I am wondering though, does this price include tax? It seems the 4* are the best deals? Thank you.

Likely the best rate you will find will be a hotel right at Heathrow. That could actually work well for you too, collapsing immediately, and then getting up and into London the next morning. You might take a look at Hotel Reviews above and see if you like what you see for the Heathrow hotels. Just to benchmark it for you, for your date the Heathrow Holiday Inn shows $58 on PRICELINE retail side. A bid might work somewhat lower. There is shuttle service to the airport too, although there probably will be a fee for that.

The only London November win so far in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins above is about a week earlier, but is an NH in Bloomsbury for $90.

The reported winning bid does not include fees. Some members also report the total, but not always. It varies a lot, even in the same city, but if you think about $20 you will probably cover it and will be happy if it is less. You do know the full total before you actually place your bid.
