Priceline Hotel: 2* Orlando (WDW) Ramada Eastgate

Hi! I need help! I'm trying to get two cheap hotel rooms for the WDW area 1/5-1/12 and one room at the same hotel for 1/5-1/10. Doing my research, it looks like I should be able to get a 2* for less than $30/night. Is there any strategy I can use to get the two rooms first then add on the third for a shorter duration? If not, I'll do the two together and take my chances on the third.

Second, can someone please help me with a bidding strategy? I would appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

There is no way to guarantee the second stay at the same hotel with Priceline, but if you're willing to take that risk, you can move forward... but a few comments first.

In my opinion, there is a BIG jump in quality between a 2* and a 2.5* and i would consider raising your quality level for a slight increase in price (at least try it first if your budget allows).

If your goal is simply cheap, there are also other options available that could get you Travelodge/Econolodge accomodations a bit cheaper than an equivalent $30 Priceline purchase. Also, if price is the sole concern there may be other options available if you don't need to be that close to Disney (ie- I-Drive, Universal, Maingate, Kissimmee, etc areas).

Basically, it's down to price and location. It seems quite possible to get a hotel (all we're looking for is a clean one with a pool) close to DisneyWorld. We'd like to keep it around $30, and I'd like to surprise the others with something even lower, if possible. Does that help?

In short, yes, the 2* is acceptable

no, location (close to WDW) is important.

Thanks so much in advance!

I would try within your budget for a 2.5* hotel and then if rejected try for a 2* property, and this is how i would do it:

At the 2.5* level you have two re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read this thread PRICELINE RE-BIDDING and ask any questions you have and/or confirm which zones qualify as your re-bid zones.

Select 2.5* WDW and...

Bid $25, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $28, if rejected add re-bid zone and...

Bid $30.

If the above is rejected close that browser and re-access Priceline however you did previously.

Select 2* WDW and...

Bid $25.

If rejected wait 72 hours and repeat the above but when biddng for 2* change to $28. If that too is rejected repeat the above but change the 2* bid to $30.

In researching this the most popular 2* hotel to come up is the La Quinta Inn Lakeside which does not get very favorable reviews. As well, Priceline does not guarantee a pool... it is more likely than not that a Florida hotel will have a pool, but it's a risk you'll have to accept.

Here are some other alternatives that may be of interest to you and i'll supply more info if you're interested:

Best Value Inn Suites for $30/nite. I-Drive/Sea World ara but has free shuttle to disney parks.

Days Inn Maingate to Universal @ $34/nite. Doesn't get good reviews, but is a brand name and offers free shuttle to Disney. Includes booking fee so still equiavalent to a Priceline $30 win.

Feel free to ask any questions regarding the above and let us know how it goes.
