BBQKing Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 I am meeting friends in Vegas 10/23-10/25, they will be staying at Four Seasons/Mandalay Bay Friday night, and Hard Rock Saturday night. I'd like to stay near the area of one (or in between the two) for the weekend. What star rating/hotels I am looking at if I wan't to keep it under $200 for the weekend? Not concerned about being on strip, or having a casino, as I'll probably meet up with them and go to wherever they are staying.
thereuare Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 To confirm... you're looking for $200 and under total for the weekend (as opposed to $100 each nite)? If this amount also includes fees/taxes, what is your maximum bid amount per nite?Is you goal the best hotel you can buy within your budget or are you looking for the least expensive "x star" rated hotel or better for this stay? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know the above and we'll take it from there. BBQKing Posted September 29, 2009 Author Report Posted September 29, 2009 I'd prefer a 3.5* on up for $100/nt or less, but not sure how possible that is. If so, I'm wondering what hotels I am looking at to get it under than amount...so yes, I would prefer my bid per night be $100 at most.
thereuare Posted September 30, 2009 Report Posted September 30, 2009 You can see the hotels that have been reported to the board in each zone and star level in the Priceline Hotel List (also be sure to read the comments at the top of the hotel list)If you want to try bidding, you have TWO re-bid zones avaialble when bidding the 3.5* level in Las Vegas. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)Select 3.5* near Strip East...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3.5* South Strip...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3.5* near Strip East and re-bid zone2...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $80, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3.5* South Strip and re-bid zone2...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $80, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3.5* South Strip and near Strip East...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $90, if rjeected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3.5* South Strip and near Strip East and re-bid zone2...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $100Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. damngina Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 For your price range, I would try Luxor or Monte Carlo. Luxor is right next door to Mandalay Bay and often goes for about 100 a night or less. Monte Carlo also goes for around that price range. Anything else south strip might be too expensive or not the star level you are looking for.
