Priceline Hotel: Bidding Help

Tried 5 star till 3 star, keeping bid @ 55 max (+10 bonus cash = 65 bid)

No success... any suggestions?

Hotwire has a 3 1/2* for your dates at $236 per night.

www.kayak.com's best 3* for your dates is $70.

I'd assume you are going to have to raise your $55 (+$10) budget or look at 2 1/2* hotels.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.

It is always possible a deal might show up at the last minute, but if you try for something like that, I'd seriously suggest making a cancelable back-up reservation.
