merluza Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 After some quality issues with previous motels on our present trip, we decided to cancel the reservation we made for our motel in Albuquerque and tried through Priceline. My first bid of $40 was accepted by the Doubletree (bid made on 23 September).Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $40.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $40.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $12.56 (USD) Total Room Cost: $52.56 (USD) Not bad at all, although the reviews are mixed on Tripadvisor, I'm sure we are better (and cheaper) off now than with our previously booked motel.I used the PRICELINE link to start bidding.
thereuare Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Glad to see you were able to cancel your previous Albuquerque motel reservation (not sure if that was thru PRICELINE or not) and use PRICELINE as a last minute replacement... sounds as if you were able to not only incurease the quality, but but lower the price too! A real win-win.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Hope you enjoy your stay.
