Hello everyone , it will be my first time bidding and i need some help.

I'm looking for a 3*, 3,5* or 4* hotel in New York City for february 12 till 19 !

I can bid till 150.- all tax inclueded, have you got an idea if it'll be possible to get something in midtown, near central park or time square knowing that TS is hard to get with that price!

By the way , very helpful forum you got here !!! Amaizing

Thanks

Welcome to the site. :)

$150 w/tax included may not be enough for a 4*, but it is certainly enough for a 3.5*; if you are looking for a lower price, there's a 3.5* in the Chelsea-MSG area on HOTWIRE for $99 for these dates. The listing is fitness/smoke-free/business/internet - that would be a likely match for the Wyndham Midtown Convention Center.

This is just an option (and a pretty good one - if this is the Wyndham, it gets a 4.5/5 on tripadvisor); if you would like to bid on PRICELINE, we would be happy to suggest options for that route.

Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.

I've seen it now and sure it's a nice deal , but i want to try with priceline could you give me some tips for it?

How can you say that it's the wyndham in that case ?

Thanks a lot

As per the Hotwire Hotel List, the amenities used to describe the HOTWIRE hotel offered above matches previous reported wins for the Wyndham, so nbody can say with certainty that it's the Wyndham, but would be our best guess.

If you want to try bidding on PRICELINE, you won't be able to target this specific property and can receive any hotel in the zone(s) that you select at the minimum star rating, or higher, that you choose.

If you'd like to bid on PRICELINE, please let us know the zones, by PRICELINE name, that you're willing to accept, as well as if you first wanted to try for a 4* up to your limit, then if rejected try for a 3.5* up ot your limit, etc OR if you're lookign for the least expensive 3* or better for this stay?

Lastly, $150 'all-in' is equivalent to about a $123/nite bid... is this your maximum bid price?

Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly.

Well , first of all thanks for your answer

I think i will probably start with TS, MW, ME and CPS but if it doesn't work i will add MSG , ESB and Chelsea . If it's again rejected i will try Downtown Soho, UES, UWS !

As you said in your answer i will try a 4* then a 3,5* and a 3*.

I can't go higher then 130 per night without taxes !

Thanks !

So to confirm, first objective is a 4* hotel in the TS, MW, ME or CPS zones with a bidding limit of $130.

Assuming i have that correct:

At the 4* level you have FIVE re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)

Select 4* TS, MW, ME and CPS...

Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone3...

Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone4...

Bid $110, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE

Select 4* TS, MW, ME and CPS and re-bid zone5...

Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone3...

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone4...

Bid $130

Any questions feel free to ask.
