Hello

I'm planning ahead for a trip to new york in December; I need one room for 4 or 5 nights (depending on the price) from the 19th or 20th of Dec to the 23rd.

As I'm new to both hotwire and priceline, I'm not sure where to start, only that my budget is no more than $200 and I'd like to stay at the nicest place I can afford (3.5 or more if possible).

Any suggestions on how to start searching?

Kindest thanks!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

To begin, what price would you need to make this a 5 nite strip vs. a 4 nite trip? Which zone(s) are you willing to accept? Are you ready to commit to a non-refundable reservation at this point in time?

Hello,

I am planning to go to new york for a pre-christmas family getaway-- me, my husband and our 1 year old child. I would like to be close to major sights but also close to public transportation, as we will have a stroller most of the time and without a carseat will not be able to take cabs.

Areas I am thinking are MTE, MTC, TS, and Central Park area.

Our budget is $180 max per night and I would like to stay in the best possible hotel (highest star rating) that I can afford.

Any tips are greatly appreciated. New to the site, and wanted to say thanks for all the helpful advice I've read already.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Not sure if it's a personal choice or not, but be aware (as far as i know) that you can take a cab without a car seat... although i understand if you choose not to for safety reasons.

At the 4* level you have FIVE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)

Select 4* MTE, MTC, TS, and CPS...

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone2...

Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone3...

Bid $140, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE
