angieholland Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 HelloI'm planning ahead for a trip to new york in December; I need one room for 4 or 5 nights (depending on the price) from the 19th or 20th of Dec to the 23rd. As I'm new to both hotwire and priceline, I'm not sure where to start, only that my budget is no more than $200 and I'd like to stay at the nicest place I can afford (3.5 or more if possible). Any suggestions on how to start searching? Kindest thanks!
thereuare Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! To begin, what price would you need to make this a 5 nite strip vs. a 4 nite trip? Which zone(s) are you willing to accept? Are you ready to commit to a non-refundable reservation at this point in time? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. angieholland Posted September 25, 2009 Author Report Posted September 25, 2009 Hello, I am planning to go to new york for a pre-christmas family getaway-- me, my husband and our 1 year old child. I would like to be close to major sights but also close to public transportation, as we will have a stroller most of the time and without a carseat will not be able to take cabs. Areas I am thinking are MTE, MTC, TS, and Central Park area. Our budget is $180 max per night and I would like to stay in the best possible hotel (highest star rating) that I can afford. Any tips are greatly appreciated. New to the site, and wanted to say thanks for all the helpful advice I've read already.
