Priceline Hotel: Need help for this Saturday

Hi, I am trying to book a room for this Saturday 9/26 in Manhattan. I tried every zone except downtown soho up to $100 with no luck. I dont want to spend more then 130 after taxes. I am ok with any room 3* and up any zone in Manhattan besides downtown soho. Any rebidding strategy? Thanks, Dave.

Also, to confirm, is your maximum bid $105? You can try, but i'd be surprised if you were successful anywhere in Manhatattan at the 3* level or better for this Saturday nite. Do you have a back-up plan?

My zones are Central Park South . Chelsea Area, Empire State Building Area. Madison Square Garden - Convention Area, Midtown East, Midtown West, Times Square - Theatre District, Upper East Side, Upper West Side. So yea i am pretty flexible just not LIC or jersey or brooklyn basically. I usually have luck finding rooms 3* and up anywhere in the city for either a friday or saturday night to just go out and not worry about driving. My backup plan will be not to drink as much lol. Wow thanks so much for the quick and complete response. I just have a problem. I click on your PRICELINE link and start with the first set of zones then bid and it says i can't because i already bid today (which i did around noon).

Wait until 24 hours after your last rejected bid. (it doesn't matter when you started bidding... it's from your last rejected bid since you included all the zones previously)

Thanks for all the help, in desperation took my bid up to $160 and dropped to 2.5 stars with no luck. Rough weekend i guess. Thanks again.

HOTWIRE has a 4* ESB for $199 for 9/26; I can't imagine $160 would be too terribly far off if that property also had PRICELINE inventory (and they may not.)

Otherwise, there are quite a few sold-out properties for these dates, especially in MTS and downtown, making me believe there's a convention of some sort going on.

I ended up just booking The Hotel at Times Square thru their website since it was cheaper then the highest bid I got to.
