krissyk Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Hi! First time posting here but love to visit the site!I decided today (hehe :) ) to travel w/ my boyfriend from MN for a weekend in Chicago! Staying Friday 9/25 thru Sunday 9/27. Wondering where the best area to stay would be for around $100/night (less if possible of course)... could we get a 4 or 4.5* in NMA right now for this price?? The W appears to be popular on this site. What amenities should I look for in the descriptions so as to help pinpoint a hotel?I want to be able to walk to the lake and we'd like to have a lot of bars & restaurants in the area to choose from. We don't like to eat @ fancy places, just somewhere to sit & have a couple drinks while watching a few games is right up our alley!!Any & all help is much appreciated! :)
thereuare Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 Welcome (officially) to BetterBidding!I'm guessing you want to stay in the NMA zone; while the Loop zone is often a little cheaper, it can also get quiet at nite. The highest star rating avialable in this area is 4*.At the 4* level you have FIVE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* NMA...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone4...Bid $80, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* NMA and re-bid zone5...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone1...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone2...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone3...Bid $100Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. AaronJB Posted September 24, 2009 Report Posted September 24, 2009 There's a 4.5* Mag Mile/Streeterville w/fitness, business, internet and restaurant for $89 on HOTWIRE for these dates, which is likely the Intercontinental. That would be a great/central location and a terrific price for a very nice property. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
