coharaca Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Ok, this one is a head-scratcher. The zone is Kings Island Resort - Mason - NE Cincinnati Hotel, and it's listed as a Three Star with the following amenities:Complimentary Breakfast Pool(s) Laundry FacilitiesHigh-speed Internet Access And it turns out to be the La Quinta?Star Inflation, thy name is Hotwire. Here's the rest of the info:La Quinta Cincinnati NE9918 Escort Drive,Mason,OH,45040(513) 459-1111HotelHotel rate per night - Hotwire hot Rate: $42.00Nights: 1Rooms: 1Subtotal: $42.00Tax recovery charges and fees: $12.05Total price: $54.05Total charges to your credit card $54.05Used the HOTWIRE Link.PS: The published rate that night is $45 ($42.75 w/ AAA). I saved a whopping 75 cents, which I'm sure I lost after fees and taxes. Should I bother with "double the difference"?
thereuare Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Sorry to hear the savings wen't much on this purchase and that this property is a bit of a letdown for you, but most La Quinta properties are now rated 3* by HOTWIRE.The Double the Difference Guarantee is based upon room rate, so if the price is only higher after taxes and fees are included, then you won't have a valid claim (imo).Thank you for using our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase, and for sharing your results with the board, helping us add this property to the Hotwire Hotel List.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
