I was hoping you'd say Hyatt Place :) . I may try a very early, lowball Priceline bid first but we're inclined to grab this based on very positive experiences at Hyatt Place properties in other states recently (knowing of course that I may not get that property :) ). Will post an update. Thanks again.
mlgood Posted September 23, 2009 Author Report Posted September 23, 2009 Very early, lowball Priceline bid (using bb.com's PRICELINE link of course) in hopes of beating a $59 rate for a property on Hotwire. This is for a pre-cruise stay.Bid 3* Tampa (Airport TPA-Westshore) 2 rooms 1 night - $35 rejected. Closed browser.Bid 3* Tampa (Busch Gardens) 2 rooms 1 night - $37 rejected. Closed browser.Bid 3* Tampa (Airport TPA-Westshore) & 3* Tampa (Busch Gardens) 2 rooms 1 night - $39 rejected.Still very early so may hold off and try bidding again in a couple of weeks or may just grab the rooms on Hotwire but wanted to post these results just as an FYI for anyone else who may be bidding in the near future. Will update when I get something.

mlgood Posted September 25, 2009 Author Report Posted September 25, 2009 Ok, so you'll need to use your magic and move this thread over to the Priceline board. Won the 3* Hyatt Place Tampa Airport for this date using the BB PRICELINE link.Bid 3* Tampa (Busch Gardens) 2 rooms 1 night - $41 rejected. Counter offer to add $12. Closed browser.Bid 3* Tampa (Airport TPA-Westshore) 2 rooms 1 night - $43 rejected. Counter offer to add $12. Closed browser.Bid 3* Tampa (Airport TPA-Westshore) & 3* Tampa (Busch Gardens) 2 rooms 1 night - $45. Accepted.Congratulations, your price of $45 was accepted by Hyatt Place Tampa Airport / Westshore.Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $45.00 Subtotal: $90.00 Taxes & Fees: $19.30 Total Charges*: $109.30 Price with fees on Hotwire for the two rooms would have been $137.25 and the best cancellable price I found for our dates was $119 per room per night. Nice breakfast included as well. It's really early but we're very happy with this rate and willing to risk the early purchase.
