thereuare Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!I'm not currently seeing this property when searching HOTWIRE for your dates, are you still seeing this on your own HOTWIRE search? If so, are you searching for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Lazypirate Posted September 22, 2009 Author Report Posted September 22, 2009 Thanks for the welcome! Great site btw. It's for 2 rooms and 4 adults. I just checked and it still comes up.
thereuare Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 The Executive Hotel Vintage Park has previous been seen with this amenity combination so that would be our best guess. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.PS- thanks for the compliments on the site :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Lazypirate Posted September 22, 2009 Author Report Posted September 22, 2009 Thanks! There's also a 4 star for $99 for the same date/# of people. The amenities are fitness, restaurant, and high speed internet. Any idea what this one is? Another question I have is do prices tend to increase closer to the booking date? I noticed a 5 star jumped from $99 to $119 yesterday. Thanks for the help. Please forgive my newbie questions...I am new at this afterall!
thereuare Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 The Terminal City Club Tower Hotel has previously been reported at the 4* level with just these amenities, so this would be my best guess, but can't say with too much certainty given these amenities are so common for a 4* city hotel and HOTWIRE frequently 'hiding' some amenities on some searches. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide adn how it goes or if we can be of further help. Lazypirate Posted September 23, 2009 Author Report Posted September 23, 2009 There's no trip advisor rating for the $99 4 star. Any idea why? Is this a red flag that the hotel might not be great?
thereuare Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Not all hotels show their Tripadvisor ratings, and some show on one search but not on the next (even for the same hotel)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Lazypirate Posted September 23, 2009 Author Report Posted September 23, 2009 I went for the $99 4 star and it ended up being the Westin Grand. I used your HOTWIRE link. Thanks for all the advice!
thereuare Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 Congratulations on your success! While not the hotel you were expecting, hope this works well fro your needs and that you're happy with the results. Thanks for using our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase and for helping us add this new amenity combination for this hotel to the Hotwire Hotel List.Enjoy your stay. Lazypirate Posted September 29, 2009 Author Report Posted September 29, 2009 Just an update and a question....I called the Westin to see what the bed situation is and it is $20 to upgrade to 2 queen beds. I upgraded and received an email confirmation which also said: " HOTWIRE NET PKG Room rate subject to 10% service charge and 5% government tax."Is this normal? I can sort of understand the charge for more beds but a service charge and more taxes? I thought what I already paid would include everything.
thereuare Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 I'm going to guess that those are the 'standard' taxes for the area and are already included in the total you've already paid HOTWIRE.
