There's also a 4 star for $99 for the same date/# of people. The amenities are fitness, restaurant, and high speed internet. Any idea what this one is?

Another question I have is do prices tend to increase closer to the booking date? I noticed a 5 star jumped from $99 to $119 yesterday.

The Terminal City Club Tower Hotel has previously been reported at the 4* level with just these amenities, so this would be my best guess, but can't say with too much certainty given these amenities are so common for a 4* city hotel and HOTWIRE frequently 'hiding' some amenities on some searches.

There's no trip advisor rating for the $99 4 star. Any idea why? Is this a red flag that the hotel might not be great?

Not all hotels show their Tripadvisor ratings, and some show on one search but not on the next (even for the same hotel)

Just an update and a question....

I called the Westin to see what the bed situation is and it is $20 to upgrade to 2 queen beds. I upgraded and received an email confirmation which also said:

" HOTWIRE NET PKG

Room rate subject to 10% service charge and 5% government tax."

Is this normal? I can sort of understand the charge for more beds but a service charge and more taxes? I thought what I already paid would include everything.

I'm going to guess that those are the 'standard' taxes for the area and are already included in the total you've already paid HOTWIRE.
