TomRuth Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 Any suggestions on bidding for a 3.5 hotel in Boston Metro-west (Bedford-Burlington)? It appears that there are two Priceline Hotels in this zone- a Doubletree Bedford Glen and a Mariott. I would strongly prefer the Doubletree Bedford Glen. Any clues as to how to increase my chances of getting the Doubletree and not the Mariott?
thereuare Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! As per the message at the top of the Priceline Hotel List:This list is NOT a complete list of all hotels that Priceline offers in this area, it is ONLY a compilation of hotels that have already been reported on this forum. Hotels are added/removed by Priceline all the time, and star ratings can change at ANY time. As well, the geographic boundaries of an area are subject to change, so it is always a good idea to look at the Priceline map before purchasing... In light of the above, you MAY get a hotel that is NOT on this list, or get a hotel on this list but at a star level you didn't expect (if the star rating has changed). So be aware that there coudl be more hotels than just the above two you mentioned. With PRICELINE there is no way to target a specific property within the zone. If you're trying to target, or avoid, a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're able to identify the proprety beforehand based upon the amenities associated with the hotel offered (ex- if the hotel you want has a pool, and the hotel you don't want doesn't have a pool... choosing a hotel with a pool icon at least ensures that you won't receive the hotel you're trying to avoid)Let us know how youd' like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. If PRICELINE, let us know your maximum bid, as well as the dates of your stay, and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
