jvander Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 My friend and I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in Puerto Rico. The hotel is located next to the Airport, but was very quiet. I could look from my window and see jets take off and land, yet not hear a thing! The hotel is located a few blocks from the beach. The area surrounding the hotel is not exactly "resort like". I would not leave the area walking at night. There was a Pueblo grocery within 5 minutes walking distance where we stocked up on essentials for our cruise (liquor!). We walked in the morning, but kept vigilant about our surroundings.Checking into the hotel was quick and easy. The hotel was very busy with a lot of local people. All rooms are 2 room suites. The room was very nice. Everything appeared new and clean. From 5-7 there was a managers reception with free drinks and some chips/salsa. In the morning, the breakfast buffet was awesome! The pool area was nice, but is right next to a busy freeway! There was a casino, but it didn't look very busy. I was able to book this through their website for $70, so no need for Priceline! :)
