hankhunter Posted September 19, 2009 Author Report Posted September 19, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! What are the dates of your stay? What star level are you seeking? Expected budget? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. We are staying there on September 20th. The Days Inn has a posted rate of $93 for 2 queen size beds on Expedia. We are looking for two rooms, We have attempted bids up to $55US with no success. We may try to get a room for up to $60 US, but anything more than that would not be that great a deal since we would not know which hotel we would get and with all the charges, we would not save much at all.I appreciate the help.Thansk
thereuare Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 What star level did you bid when you tried for $55? Are you looking for more than double occupancy per room or just prefer separate beds? (since you compared to a room at the Days Inn with 2 Queen beds)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. (or our Expedia link if you go that route) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
scherzo Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 i had difficultly with edmundston, nb as well. I never bid more than $35 U.S. as the amount had crept to close to retail price for 1 star hotels in Canadian. I wanted nothing more than a place to sleep and found using google maps of the area, and then typed 'inn' where you had typed 'edmundston' in the google map searchI found a place in Quebec for 60$ Canadian (full retail) no additional charges and with every option to cancel.good luck with PRICELINE and edmundston, however I find there isn't as much in the way of deals with PRICELINE if you are bidding on 1 star hotels on weekdays
