mburgo Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 I am interesting in booking a hotel for Rome - (10/25 thru 1-/29 - Rome Central - 2 stars with breakfast). - Hotwire is offering a US$ 115 / night.Do you have any idea of the maximum walking distance to Rome centre (using google) and the hotels they usually offer so I can take a look?I am just wonder about being clean and a real hotel (not a bad and breakfast). And of course, I can't find it later cheaper.thanks.
thereuare Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!Do you have any idea of the maximum walking distance to Rome centre (using google) and the hotels they usually offer so I can take a look? The hotel you receive can be anywhere in the shaded boundaries of the zone... you could receive a hotel in the dead center of the zone, or one that is near the outer perimeter boundaries. However, generally speaking, the lower rated hotels are often on the outskirts (real estate is cheaper out there and they can afford to charge less for their rooms)I am just wonder about being clean...If you go back to HOTWIRE and click the CONTINUE button next to this offering, look to the right of the map and you'll see this property has a Tripadvisor rating of 2.0/5.0, which is not a very good user satisfcation record, so i'm guessing it will lkely fall short of your cleanliness factor or some other aspect that would constitute it being a 'real' hotel. I would look elsewhere based upon the Tripadvisor rating alone. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. mburgo Posted September 24, 2009 Author Report Posted September 24, 2009 Thanks! I didn't noticed the Trip Advisor Rating. I was able to find another B&B in the central area with excellent rates (and private bathroom). I will give a shoot. thanks again, Mauricio
